Approach to Teaching

"I have a Masters Degree in Engineering and PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. This provided me with the knowledge and ability to teach up to A-Level Mathematics, including all Core modules, Further Mathematics, Mechanics, Statistics and Decision mathematics. I have been offering private tuition for 5 years. I have 6 years maths teaching experience in secondary school and six-form college and 12 years teaching experience in University. I have been providing one-to-one and small group tuition since 2007. 100% of my GCSE and A level private tutoring students have achieved grade B or above. My approach to one-to-one tuition is always to begin with identifying the pupils areas of strengths and weaknesses and using this information to set targets that are in-line with the aim of the tuition sessions. I have high expectations of all my students and always encourage a pupil to make the most out of every session and achieve the best they can. I also make myself available via skype for any questions they may have."
