Approach to Teaching

"I am a Qualified Maths Teacher and have experience teaching students from GCSE to University Mathematics. I have worked within schools teaching 11-16 year olds Mathematics for the last two years. I have a huge passion for teaching maths and strive to make each individual learning experience encouraging and exciting. My success is the success of my learners and my aim is to empower them. I have the ability to differentiate work to meet the student`s needs whilst also stretching and challenging to push for higher achievement. I teach for understanding rather than memorisation so students can adapt techniques to problem solve more efficiently. I have achieved a 1st class honours degree in maths followed by my PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. I am also currently on a masters course in Data Science. I offer 1-1 tutoring and I am willing to travel within the Manchester area."
