Approach to Teaching

"I am a well qualified and experienced teacher having taught Mathematics in Secondary schools in London and Birmingham. I also have substantial experience of 1-1 Mathematics teaching. I have taught throughout the age and ability range from KS2 to KS4. My aim is to help every student to fulfill their potential in Mathematics, through the use of a wide range of resources, practical and otherwise. I have developed a wide range of approaches to Mathematical concepts that seek to instil confidence and motivation in the subject. I am flexible and work through encouragement and with a skill that comes with having taught for some years. Students who have a specific learning difficulty are equally well catered for and are most welcome. I have experience of Dyslexia/Dyspraxia difficulties and visual impairment. My success rate at GCSE is excellent for students of all abilities. I have some spaces available for daytime work, if a student is off school through illness for a prolonged period or for College students, who often have a more flexible timetable. Adult students are welcome."
