Approach to Teaching

"I am a mother of 3 teenagers who had been teaching at a school in Birmingham for 2 years. I have taught pupils of all abilities from year 7 to 11. Prior to this I have taught at a technical college, university and in an office environment. My primary objective is to build the confidence of my students and arm them with the skills required to tackle different mathematical problems. I believe that everyone has a maths ability but a lot lack the confidence to apply what they already know to new situations. If I can build confidence then they are more likely to attempt problems without fear."
