Approach to Teaching

"WHO AM I? A Spanish girl of 22 years old, Civil Engineer. I can teach Maths and Physics. TUTION HISTORY I have been imparting private lessons to children from 12 to 18 years old since I was 14. I started helping a boy form my class and as he passed all the exams with good grades, more parents of my town were interested and I have ended teaching for 8 years more. Now, all the parents of my town call me if their children need some help with their studies. INTERESTED IN TUTION The last two years, I have been working at the University anylizing and designing new methodologies of study. I am very familiarized with a lot of ways of teaching. WAY OF TEACHING I always have a good environment with my students, I like being someone close to them. I want my students to learn how to use their own way of thinking, knowledge and common sense. I do not like explaining things and let the explanation going through the air, I always do something so the students have to think about the explanation. If the student has an exam I always make the preparation for it. ABOUT MATHS AND PHYSICS I love Maths and Physics. I like how a problem can be solved in many different ways and so explained. Is very successful seeing how a student is trying to solve a difficult problem and finally he or she realizes that it can be solved using a connection of basic Mathematics learnt years ago. I also like challenging students with new problems and questions that I know they can solve if they use their logic and knowledge. Mathematics and Physics could be really funny if the teacher wants and does it well."
