Approach to Teaching

"I am a qualified teacher of Maths. My degree was in Medical Science followed by a PGCE. I have experience of teaching Maths and Science in both schools and colleges. I am passionate about teaching and have enabled learners of all abilities to progress from the top achievers to those with learning disabilities. My approach to teaching is simple - to ensure my lessons are enjoyable for my learners. I try to link the learning to everyday life as much as possible since this helps students to relate better to the concept they are being taught. I use multi-sensory approaches in my teaching so that I am challenging visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners. I know of the proven benefits of 1:1 tuition which can really give students significant improvements in their knowledge and confidence enabling them to achieve their desired results."
