Approach to Teaching

"I have worked as a secondary school science teacher, teaching Key stage 3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have lead and marked Biology GCSE coursework and so can also provide guidance in this area. I have taught AS and A level Biology and have good knowledge of the types of questions students should expect and how these are marked by examiners. I have studied Psychology where I completed assessments on children to work out the best ways that children learn regardless of ability and behaviour. I enjoy using a variety of engaging and exciting learning styles which make information more accessible to individuals who can struggle in the classroom environment. I have run revision workshops with GCSE and A level students which provide them with new techniques they can use to increase the amount of information they are able to retain and to make sure the time they spend on revision is efficient."
