Approach to Teaching

"I am a highly experienced educator, having worked in most fields and at most levels, inc: FE Lecturer providing Language Support for students of all disciplines, including Business, Law, Science, Media Studies. Responsible for whole-class support, one-to-one tuition and drop-in workshop provision; Private English tutor catering for all ages and aptitudes from junior to degree-level, including support for students with dyslexia and language classes for foreign students; Education support for visually-impaired adult students of all ages in all disciplines including English, Maths, German, History, Law, Desktop Publishing, Carpentry and Braille. I am highly literate and creative with a desire to work for the public good. I was educated at a state school and at Cambridge University. I write for pleasure, and have experience as an editor in the National Union of Journalists and publish my own blog, as well as copy writing for property developer, precis of business literature for management, and the production and publication of a wide range of literary and non-literary material (educational, op-ed, fiction and poetry)."
