Approach to Teaching

"I have worked with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities up to university level including tutoring students identified as underachieving. I have helped my tutees develop their confidence and ace their exams. My goal is to enable students to develop enthusiasm and confidence in science by coaching them in a manner that is both informative, and enjoyable. I build my tutoring sessions largely around students' weaknesses. By using everyday examples to explain key concepts to children, I help students build their confidence and increase their love and understanding for the subject. I briefly revise key concepts with students and then work through questions to ascertain understanding. I also work through past exam papers to consolidate learning and help a child identify how they can improve their marks in exams."
