Approach to Teaching

"I am a qualified Maths Teacher with a PGCE from Oxford University and a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the Open University. I currently tutor 11 plus, GCSE and A-level specialising in the latter. Having tutored extensively over the last 4 years I am extremely familiar with the examiners criteria for exam boards including Edexcel, OCR, AQA and the International Baccalaureate. I have picked up detailed knowledge on the content of individual topics and can provide comprehensive teaching as well as a thorough understanding on how to best structure an answer. I am excited about my subject and I fully intend to pass on that enthusiasm to each of my students. I have a wealth of resources that I have picked up over the years which I can appropriately differentiate to cater for the ability of the student. I have an excellent track record of results including many achieving the highest possible grade. I am very reliable and tend to stay with my clients for a long period of time. For example I am currently tutoring the children of two families which I have been with for over 3 years.
