Approach to Teaching

"I have taught maths at secondary level in schools for a total of 11 years, and currently work as a supply teacher, with hours to fit around my daughters. I also have extensive experience as a maths tutor, having worked with local primary schools on the one-to-one Making Good Progress scheme, as well as tutoring privately for a number of years. I am up-to-date with the requirements of each Key Stage including the requirements for the new maths GCSE, and am happy to take on new students studying at KS3 or KS4. Each student is assessed to determine their individual requirements, and a programme of study prepared to meet the areas which require additional support. Through a positive environment of learning, the students confidence in their ability quickly increases, resulting in a greater enthusiasm for the subject, and a real willingness to learn."
