Approach to Teaching

"I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher with more than 30 years of experience teaching in a local secondary school with an enhanced DBS check. I offer tuition to students of a wide range of ages and all abilities for a range of courses & exams, including KS2, KS3, GCSE, entrance exams, BTEC, numeracy tests and Algebra awards. Many of my students come from recommendations from current and ex-students. All lessons are tailored to the needs of the student. I set (optional) homework at the end of the lesson so that students can consolidate on the learning that has taken place during the lesson. The following lesson I check the homework has been completed successfully and go over any questions that the student found difficult. Near exam time, the lessons are focussed on exam techniques and practice papers. The lessons take place online via Zoom."
