Approach to Teaching

"I am about to start a PGCE for Secondary Maths at Leeds SCITT, and want to start tuition this summer. I can teach up to A-level maths but would prefer to tutor up to GCSE (as this is what my training will be in). I am passionate about maths and love to help others understand. I have voluntary experience at a secondary school in Derby and at Carr Manor in Leeds. I also took part in tutoring in my old school whilst I was a student. Although my degree is in science, I did a considerable amount of maths in it and even took a module in Maths education. The tutors on my training programme have not advised a subject knowledge enhancement after reviewing my assessments and interview. I have a car so can travel up to 10 miles but I'd prefer to keep it down to 5 if possible."
