Approach to Teaching

"I am an undergraduate engineer at Cambridge University with two years of tutoring experience. I have tutored students ranging from Degree level to G.C.S.E. My main academic interest is Mathematics for scientists, and I am happy and capable to teach the mathematics for any engineering discipline. I am also happy to teach mathematics for physicists. I can also Teach all A level mathematics modules, including all further mathematics, and all A level physics modules. My main engineering interests are Vibrations, Dynamics and incompressible fluid flow. Tutoring Approach:This depends on the requirements of the student, generally improving a personal skills is a lot different than preparing them for an exam. As every person has a different way of learning I will talk to the student at the start of the program and try and work out a personalized approach that will work best for them. However if the overall goal is to pass an exam than past papers will be essential, these will need to be completed out of hours and will also be marked out of hours. This will allow us to get the most out of the time, the scripts will be given back to the student with written advice attached and discussed where necessary. Whatever approach is taken I can guarantee that I will be infinitely patient throughout, as the most important thing is the student leaves having a good understanding of the concepts and this can only be achieved at the students own pace."
