Approach to Teaching

"I am a Research Fellow at Imperial College London where I have successfully supervised several Ph.D ,M.Sc and undergraduate students towards completion. My research involves work on many prestigious projects covering many areas of mathematical chemistry, physics, engineering and material science. In addition to my research, I also have 15 years experience of teaching. This has included lecturing for several university courses and tuition of chemistry, physics and mathematics courses, particularly at A-Level. The tuition has benefited greatly from my experience as a scientist and engineer, both in academia and in industry which enables me to teach the real life uses and meaning behind scientific principles. As well as relevant experience, I have excellent qualifications including a Ph.D, several years experience of cutting edge postdoctoral research, a strong degree in chemical engineering and an HND in mechanical engineering. I have also developed my teaching skills by successfully completed training and courses for teaching and lecturing including the Imperial College certified course in Supporting Learning and Teaching Program (SLTP) 2011. I can provide both long-term tutoring throughout the term for weekly meetings or more intensive tutoring in preparation for GCSE or A-Level exams. "
