Approach to Teaching

"I specialise in Maths and Physics at all levels GCSE and above. I am about to complete a PhD in Maths, and have a Master's degree in Physics, as well as four years of experiencing teaching at university. I have also worked for Ofqual on assessing the difficulty of GCSE exam questions. Aiming to provide a professional and reliable service, but maintaining a casual environment conducive the the tutee's comfortable learning, is my philosophy in tutoring. I take payment in advance of lessons via electronic means such as direct bank transfer, Circle, or PayPal. Unless absolutely necessary I do not take cash, as I rarely if ever use it myself. I am willing to be flexible with organising times of, and rearranging, lessons, and aim to fulfil all reasonable requests at no extra charge. Please get in touch if you are interested and we can surely come to some kind of arrangement. Don't hesitate to ask any questions if you want to know more before committing and I'll be happy to go through things."

If travel arrangements are very costly or time-consuming on my end, I reserve the right to charge slightly higher, but the quoted fee here includes the actual teaching, a reasonable amount of travel already accounted for, and the website's commission fees, so in most circumstances the fee should not

Quoted prices are more like upper limits. If lessons are held online, at my location, or sufficiently nearby that my travel costs are small/nothing, then I am willing to discuss a reduced rate. Similarly, committing to multiple lessons in advance, lessons longer than 1 hour, and lessons at off-peak
