Approach to Teaching

"I am a qualified teacher with an `Outstanding` PGCE, a First Class Honours in English, an MA in English Renaissance Literature, and experience in teaching GCSE, AS and A2 English (Literature, Language and Lang/Lit) and ESOL. I have excellent knowledge of the A-level and GCSE English curriculum, and my previous experience of one-to-one tuition has proven very successful. I have a creative and flexible approach to tutoring, and always adapt my style and method to suit and engage each individual learner. Together with the student, I will devise a learning plan to ensure that lessons are structured, progress is monitored and the student gets the maximum out of each session. I have a very positive and encouraging approach, and will always go that extra mile for my students.
