Approach to Teaching

"I have always been fascinated by my mathematical studies and, having a flair for the subject, there was never any doubt that I would choose mathematics as a degree. I am a very organised and commited person (I always hand in my courseworks or projects in time; when I start something I finish it no matter how hard it is or how long it will take me). I can adapt very easily. I always wanted to have the chance to teach. I feel that this would be an extremely valuable experience in my career. It will give me the confidence to teach others. It will be a great pleasure if I have the opportunity to show the students some real life problems solved by Mathematics, to make them understand the real purpose of this subject. I want to teach them not only formulae and how it is used, but also how these can help them in their future, in their careers. I want to make students think of Mathematics not as boring or hard, but as essential and realistic. "
