Approach to Teaching

"I am a qualified Mathematics teacher with over 6 years of teaching experience in schools both in London and Bedfordshire. I have always been regarded as an outstanding teacher in all the schools I have worked at. My experience is vastly with the new GCSE specification as I worked in a start up school which only focussed on this curriculum. My belief in my teaching methods are students should master a topic before moving on to something new as this is the key to mathematics success. My experience lies in gifted and talented students as I had key role in ensuring the G&T students were making the correct level of progress. I obtained in 2016- 14 grade 9s from my GCSE class. I currently teach borderline students who need to get a grade 4/5 and have been successful in ensuring students are achieving the results they need to get into college. I am a GCSE examiner for exam board Edexel which has been a pivotal tool in helping the students I tutor. This has allowed me to have the experience and knowledge to know what examiners are looking in for in student answers. This skill has really helped my tutees in the examination responses they are giving and improving their exam results. I teach 11+, KS3 and GCSE students and have extensive knowledge in the new curriculum and have succeeded with all my tutees including several grade 9`s at GCSE level. My ultimate goal as a teacher and tutee is not only ensuring students achieve the grade they are capable of achieving but also for students to have a love and appreciation for Mathematics as it is a key subject in the world we live in."

Extra Charges for Travel etc

For anyone who lives further than 3 miles I charge £3 extra. For any one lives 5 miles or more I charge £5 extra.

Discounts

If you do have multiple students I can give discounts 2 KS3 students together for one hour would be £45 2 KS4 students together for one hour would be £50. So £5 off each student for one extra additional student.
