Approach to Teaching

"I have been teaching in a local primary school for the last nine years across a range of year groups and have also carried out some private tuition during the last 3 years. I enjoy working 1:1 with students, giving them the support, encouragement and patience they may need, in order to increase their confidence. I specialise in Maths for this age range (it has always been a passion of mine) but will also tutor English to end of Key Stage 2. I have extensive experience of SATs testing for both subjects and am fully aware of expectations for key stages 1 and 2. I would welcome the opportunity to work with more students on their skills in Maths and English and would be available to carry out tuition after school or at weekends."
