Approach to Teaching

"I am extremely passionate about teaching and can deliver differentiated lesson plan for all my students. I am very creative and can make teaching and learning interactive for all my pupils. I am able to easily communicate with all students, regardless of their level of ability. I can easily adapt to the students learning style that they are familiar with. I am currently working in a mainstream secondary school in Leicester as a qualified Maths Teacher. I teach students from 11-16 age range. I am a very dynamic teacher and can deliver the curriculum and tailor make the tuition for each student. I have resources and these can be utilised by student at no extra cost. I can cater for all different abilities, and can assess performance. Their progression and targets will be discussed with parents at the end of every lesson. I think as a tutor, it is very important for parents to take an active role in their childs progress and work alongside me to achieve the students full potential. I follow closely to the schemes of work, and subsequently can cover all the available specifications and examination boards. I will plan my lesson in advance and I know how to move the child from one level to another. I have vast amount of resources which will be utilised at no extra cost and will aid the childs learning. I have a resource bank of past papers which will be provided to the students. The areas to work on will be discussed with the student and a plan will be derived on how to meet them. "
