Approach to Teaching

"I am offering Maths tuition for students aged 11-16. I am educated to Masters level in Finance and Economics, and realised that my skills actually are more suited to helping young people reach their full academic potential. I have been tutoring GCSE students on and off since 2007 and have been teaching GCSE maths in a local comprehensive school for the last 3 years! Tutoring is a great opportunity for students to make really rapid progress due to the teaching being one-to-one. I encourage students that take risks and make mistakes in order to further their learning, this approach is something that students find refreshing and engaging - getting something wrong in front of classmates is often something that holds students back."
