Approach to Teaching

"One of the most rewarding aspects for me of being a private maths tutor is watching a student gain confidence as the information begins to fall into place, and knowing that I have played a part in that. I have worked with students on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis of all abilities, where I aim to provide an environment for students in which they feel comfortable to have a go, make mistakes and ask anything - making mistakes are how we learn best after all! I was very lucky to have a very hard-working maths teacher at school/sixth form who did his utmost to ensure we were equipped with all we needed to succeed in the subject and I promise to provide the same support to my students - all I need is a willingness to learn. I consider myself to be friendly, patient and dedicated and I very much look forward to meeting any prospective students of mine."
