Approach to Teaching

"I am an enthusiastic maths student. I have been tutoring for several years now and all my students have significantly enhanced their grades. As i am a young tutor I connect with my students very well. Having just completed my A-levels and achieved 3A*s, I lived and breathed the new maths specification which means I don't overload students with unnecessary and confusing information. My explanations and mark scheme answers that I have accumulated during my studies will be passed over to my tutees so they can easily answer questions the way the exam boards want them to. The GCSE & A-level specification seems to be more difficult than ever, and I believe since I have experienced it first-hand I know all the tricks and tips which will see your grade definitely improve. I really enjoy helping others understand mathematical concepts from a student`s perspective by simplifying questions. Classmates offered me to tutor them during A-levels and at university as they really benefited from my explanations in class. Having recently experienced the questions and already taught classmates, I know exactly where students seem to struggle. I will ensure that every student has a solid foundation of the basics which in turn should help them understand more difficult aspects."
