Approach to Teaching

"25, Female. I am a fully qualified teacher of Business Studies, Religious Studies and Accounting. I am from Ireland and have been teaching a full timetable of Maths in a permanent position for three years in a secondary school in Kent. I moved to London in February of this year to become a supply teacher with the hope of tutoring maths in the evenings. I am very passionate about teaching, especially teaching Maths, as I have had a very positive experience getting the most out of my students. As Maths is one of the most important subjects a child will learn at school, I have had a very rewarding experience over the past few years helping students reach their target grades. I have QTS and DBS. My approach to tutoring will focus mainly on the needs of the student. Every student has a different approach to learning, and having worked with hundreds of different students with different needs, I have gained much experience adapting to these needs and differentiating lessons to suit the students learning habits/ styles."
