Approach to Teaching

"Although still young I have accrued a fair amount of tutoring experience since completing my degree in Mathematics. This coupled with many years work as a surf instructor means I have a good understanding of how to teach people of all ages effectively. I believe that although there are basic rules that apply to all, every student has a specific set of needs and conditions in which learning can thrive. Finding out how to maximise someones potential is something which gives me a real sense of fulfilment. And the challenge is one I really enjoy. Mathematics is used in all walks of life and I feel that if you can apply the subjects being taught to a topic of interest for the student, the desire to learn can be greatly increased. I consider myself to be a people person, a great communicator and pride myself on the ability to make my lessons relaxed and enjoyable.
