Approach to Teaching

"Experienced private mathematics tutor offers online tuition and past exam paper practice. I am very enthusiastic and passionate about mathematics. I have a patient approach, encouraging style and endeavour to explain difficult concepts in simple terms. I like to tailor the tuition to the student's needs, build a student's confidence and independence, and encourage questions. I began tutoring when I was a PhD student at university where I gave mathematics tutorials to engineering undergraduates. As a post-doctoral research fellow at university, I gave mathematics tutorials and delivered lectures in theoretical physics to physics undergraduates. I was also actively involved in the development of course content and a teaching programme for A-Level mathematics students from local schools and colleges."
