Approach to Teaching

"I have a first class master's degree from Cambridge University in Applied Mathematics & Theoretical Physics. I also have a first class bachelor's degree from Durham University in Physics. Passionate for Mathematics and Physics. Keen to share knowledge and concepts with others. I aim to provide students with a deeper understanding of topics as opposed to superficial understanding of specific cases. If students are able to identify topics that they require particular help with, I will create tailored lessons on the subject (and provide copies of notes for the student.) Having established an understanding of the theory, I will select a number of past paper problems which we can begin to work through. Closer to examination periods the most effective approach is to work through as many full past papers as possible and identify issues as they arise. In between sessions, homework completing past papers under timed conditions is particularly useful to track improvement. About me: In autumn this year I will commence training to qualify as a Patent Attorney (Physics/Engineering Sector). In my spare time I enjoy martial arts, travel and food (mostly Greek!)."
