Approach to Teaching

"I am a former university lecturer, having held several teaching and research positions in the UK and Republic of Ireland, where I taught a wide variety of undergraduate courses in mathematical physics. I have also taught (I)GCSE and A level mathematics and physics at international colleges in Oxford. I currently, and for the past six years, have divided my time between software development for a variety of sectors and providing private tuition in mathematics and physics. For schoolchildren, I provide tuition at GCSE level and above, while for adult learners, I provide tuition at all levels. Over this period, I have had over 100 long term tutees, with a wide variety of needs. While most of my students have been looking for help with GCSEs and A levels, I have also, frequently, been able to provide a great deal of assistance to students with more individual needs, in relation to, for example, statistical analysis in undergraduate and prostgraduate projects, and in giving coaching for the PCGE qualification."
