Approach to Teaching

"I am a father of four and a fully qualified teacher turned full-time private tutor with Enhanced DBS Clearance. I am an enthusiastic tutor who has an excellent track record in helping students achieve, or exceed, their target grades. I endeavour to make sure my students feel as comfortable as possible and encourage them to ask questions because asking questions is best way to learn. My sessions are always tailored to the students` individual requirements and are focused around the specific requirements of the exam. I am currently an examiner for AQA in A-level Economics. I have also written 195 questions for a forthcoming Cambridge University Press iGCSE Economics Textbook. I have taught and tutored for 6 years with both children and adults. My specialisms are GCSE Maths and A-level Economics and Business Studies but I have taught other subjects such as Sociology. I am familiar with the three major exam boards: AQA, Edexcel and OCR."
