Approach to Teaching

"I am a qualified teacher with experience tutoring both maths and sciences (specialising in Physics) from GCSE up to degree level. I have a working knowledge of the various curricula for the subjects that I tutor, as well of experience of preparing undergraduates for maths and physics exams. I am an enthusiastic tutor and enjoy working with students with a wide variety of abilities. One-to-one tuition allows me to focus on the individual needs of each student in order to improve both their understanding and exam grades. As well as working as a tutor I am involved in science outreach to local schools on behalf of Sheffield University, giving one-off motivating and engaging lessons. Many of these lessons are personal repeat requests from teachers at local schools looking to add something extra to their regular lessons."
