Approach to Teaching

"An experienced Mathematics and Science Tutor with a comprehensive background in teaching a diverse range of pupils. I have worked as a freelance tutor since 1996 teaching students from age 9 to adult. I also worked in a private secondary school as head of mathematics for 4 years. I currently assist in the running of examinations at an academy and am thoroughly familiar with all the syllabuses currently in use. I am passionate about education and feel that everyone can succeed if given the right learning guidance and environment. In my spare time I enjoy walking and gardening and visiting garden centres. I also have a keen interest in the Latin and Greek languages and am currently learning Russian."
