Approach to Teaching

"My recent teaching positions have included working as a fully qualified English teacher at an OFSTED 'outstanding' school and as a special needs primary school teacher at a special needs school, also graded as 'outstanding' in a recent Ofsted inspection. Since joining the teaching profession I have endeavoured to be a conscientious, creative and reflective teacher, maintaining high expectations of both myself and my students at all times. I believe in ensuring a fair, engaging and inclusive environment in the classroom. I feel that I continually demonstrate this through my enthusiasm for both the subject taught and my role as a teacher and I feel it is imperative to always bring a positive attitude to teaching and learning. I have always been committed to being a pro-active teacher, setting challenging, engaging and fun activities, whilst ensuring the necessary differentiation for different ability levels and learning styles."
