Approach to Teaching

"I currently teach at Stratford upon Avon College, at all levels including the Warwick University Foundation Programme. I have been teaching maths for over 10 years with excellent results. I have taught at secondary schools and higher. I have extensive experience at getting students to achieve good grades at KS3, GCSE and A Level, IB and Warwick University Foundation Programme. I am able to teach all the core modules, statistics, mechanics, decision maths and further pure maths. Last year my A2 class obtained 100% A to C grades for A level Maths. I have a passion for Maths and teaching maths. I am an experienced teacher having taught Maths to students of all abilities. I currently teach in the FE College where I can inspire students to achieve excellent results and excel in Mathematics. My approach is to firstly diagnose any issues the learner is having - whether that be by doing a diagnostic test, or by studying his work and/or questioning. My next task is to build the necessary skills that are needed to achieve the required level. This is done in a way that builds confidence, skills and aptitude in the student. I instil enthusiasm in the student of Mathematics motivating students to excel and enjoy maths."
